One thing new vapors need to know is that you need specific batteries to put into your MOD. You cannot use the batteries like the kind that you put into a TV remote. This is also an important safety issue, as using batteries for your MOD that are not issued for it can lead to fires and explosions. That sounds like a bad day for vaping, just because you used the wrong batteries. It should also be made sure that the batteries are properly installed.
